Katy is undert aking her Foundation Degree on a part-time basis, while working as a Horticultural Assistant for a Borough Council and also running a ‘mini farm’ at home, looking after lots of animals. Her employer supports her studies financially by paying course fees and a mileage allowance and purchasing books and equipment. Katy uses her college assignments to help with her work, and reads widely so that she is able to offer advice to other sections in the workplace. She is the course committee representative for other Landscape Management students at the college, and enjoys liaising with other students, offering advice and sharing information.
